Why write a blog
Let me think and classify my writing through the lens of my readers.
Myself
I write about the ideas I read, concepts I find fascinating, and small “tinker-toy” projects I build and experiment with. I strongly believe that writing is one of the best forms of thinking available to us humans. It helps me connect ideas both consciously and subconsciously.
Alongside my private journal, my weblog becomes a searchable, discoverable archive of my intellectual journey. Writing down also helps my future self rediscover insights and reconnect the scattered dots.
Immediate Circle
Many of these topics I discuss with friends and colleagues tend to repeat over time. Writing them allows me to articulate something once and reuse it multiple times. It also becomes a living log of useful ideas I frequently share in the conversations.
Wider Audience
Some of these ideas may resonate with people across different geographies, languages, cultures, and disciplines. Personally, this is great opportunity for me to connect with a wider group.
A post might spark an unexpected conversation or collaboration in future. I would be grateful if at least a small subset of them find these contents to be useful. And beyond all practical reasons—thinking, sharing, and discussing ideas is simply fun.
